He should've known better, he said "today couldn't get any worse", and he jinxed himself. Also known as trying to keep the blindfold on Katsuki as long as possible ;)

If Bakugou was on a trip up these mountains under different circumstances, he would have stopped to look at every plant, leaf, and stone. If he had time to plan, he would have never chosen to undergo this in winter.
Bakugou felt the stone crumble under his foot. Before he could comprehend it was happening, he was in the air plummeting back to earth. For just a moment, he felt light as a feather. He prepared for the slam to overtake him with pain and break his bones—but it never came. It just stopped.
"What the fuck!" Bakugou sat up and immediately felt a hot agony shoot through his ribs and shoulder.
"Hey! Hey, be careful." A man came over and tried to reach out to him. Bakugou sent a sneering glare stopping him in his tracks. "Where am I?" Bakugou questioned and his eyes roamed around the room looking for exits. A fire light shone from behind the man casting a shadow but his face stayed slightly visible with the moonlight coming from behind Bakugou's own back. "In my house." "No shit." Bakugou said, eyes trained on the strange looking man. There was something off with this man, more so than with himself.

He would much rather be home right now, with his fiance or out with their friends, enveloped in a haze of love and laughter instead of this stink of sweat and blood and tears. But he looks up and the sky is streaked with red, coloring the sky with a sunset that he knows Ei would adore. It’s the last thing in his mind, Eijirou’s shitty hair framed against the sunset, as the building crashes to the ground and everything is wiped from his mind.
