They’re looking for Deku. The same Deku who can barely stand and when Katsuki grabs his chin to look at his eyes, uneven pupils stare back. Katsuki can only hope it’s just a concussion and pretends he doesn’t feel blood dripping from his own head. Head wounds always end up bleeding a shit ton for no reason, right? But it’s probably why when Katsuki looks at Deku again, he just sees Izuku. His childhood friend, the boy he bullied, his rival, and now a friend once more. He thinks to himself: Who knows Izuku better than him? Who else could wear his name like armor and make it believable? Katsuki rips off his gauntlets.

Izuku is kidnapped while at a park with Katsuki when they're kids. He is held captive for 8 years and given an artificial quirk.
